A unique feature of the VAU is the capability
to allow individual users to leave personal
greetings/information if they leave their desks.
This feature overcomes the typical frustrating
scenario of being forwarded to voice mail when
you really want to talk to someone.
Before leaving your desk record a short greeting
and, forward your calls. This ensures the
caller receives a general message from you,
knows that they are being forwarded, then
talks to someone, and if necessary being forwarded
at their request to voice mail.
The Voice Announcement Unit is a voice resource
module for the DXE phone systems. It plugs
into a digital key telephone port and provides
3 channels of voice resource.
